Saquib has over 13 years of investment and corporate advisory experience including public and private equity investing, distressed debt investing and investment banking.
Prior to Beaconhouse, Saquib was an Executive at D.E. Shaw & Co. and Knighthead Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing private and distressed investment opportunities, performing due diligence, analyzing companies and industries and credit documentation. He invested in a variety of asset classes (equities, performing credit, distressed credit) and industries (Consumer, Education, Healthcare Services, Biotechnology, Food & Retail, Middle East and "off the run" situations).
Prior to D.E. Shaw & Co., Saquib was a Principal at Centerbridge Partners and JLL Partners where he was responsible for executing private equity transactions as well as making credit investments for the hedge fund. Earlier in his career, Saquib worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in the Los Angeles office where he was involved in private placements, high yield offerings, equity offerings, mergers & acquisitions and restructurings.
Saquib received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and a BS in Economics within three years from The Wharton School in 1999.
Pavel has over a decade of investment, corporate advisory / investment banking and capital markets experience including public and private equity investment, distressed, special situations, high yield and investment grade debt trading.
Prior to Beaconhouse, Pavel collaborated with Strauss Capital Partners LLC, a New york based investment banking boutique, on a series of transactions. Earlier in his career, Pavel traded distressed credit both at Merrill Lynch as well as at Viking Global Investors, LP, a $24 billion "Tiger Cub" hedge fund, where he was hired as the first credit analyst for the firm. Prior to Viking, Pavel worked at Berenson & Company, Inc. a boutique New York-based investment bank, where he focused mainly on in- and out-of-court restructuring assignments. Pavel started his career as an investment banking analyst in the industrials group of Salomon Smith Barney.
Pavel received an honours BA in Mathematics, with a concentration in Statistics and Economics from Swarthmore College in 2000.
Dr. Arsah Kiani is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the chemicals. Industrial and polymer industries.
Dr. Kiani currently serves as President of a Beaconhouse portfolio company, Alterra Holdings Company, a world leader in plastics and rubber compounding whose customers include tier 1 automotive suppliers, global chemical companies and emerging bioplastics enterprises.
Prior to Alterra, Dr. Kiani served as President of Custom Engineering Solutions Inc, a plastics compounder focused on cross-linked rubbers, acrylics and thermoplastic elastomers. From 1989 to 1999, Dr. Kiani served as the Global Head of R&D at Coperion, the largest manufacturer of plastics compounding equipment.
Dr. Kiani received his PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology in Philosophy and Chemical Engineering in 1989 and has published several papers on plastic engineering.
Greg has more than 30 years of operating and investment experience as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director in the areas of manufacturing, technology, financial services, private equity and venture capital. He has been the lead principal or a participant in more than 40 institutional investments and transactions across various industries in the United States, Europe and China.
Greg was also an Executive Advisor to DE Shaw where he provided operational and strategic assistance to numerous investments in the Industrials and Special Situations sectors. He was one of the original partners of Paladin Capital Group, a multi-stage private equity firm with more than $950 million under management and currently serves as a member of the Boards of Directors of certain Lakewood investments.
Greg received a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit. He has completed Executive Education Programs at the Harvard Business School and the National Association of Corporate Directors where he received the Certificate of Director Education.
